I got a dutch oven that a friend left out side open for a winter, it has heavy rust and was wondering if it would hurt it to use my sand blaster on it?? or what would be better?

I bought a used dutch oven at a garage sale. It has some rust and flaking of the black coating. I am a little worried about stripping and re-seasoning it. Is it worth the trouble?

I have a new oven too, but would like to use two while camping.
