Can I substitute a regular pot for a “Dutch Oven”?
Author: I'm making a sweet potato casserole and the recipe says to boil the potatoes in a dutch oven... but I don't have one. I don't care if I have to buy one... but if I don't have to... I would rather save my money for christmas gifts... I have a regular ol' pot though... Will it suffice?

does anybody know a really good recipe for a dutch oven?
well, i'm going on a campout with my family next weekend, and my mom is really excited because she got a dutch oven for christmas and can't wait to use it. so, i need to get a good recipe to make her happy. thanks in advance!
