		<description>Remember cast iron is brittle, and not terribly hard, so you want to use a light touch.

I have my husbands&#039; family&#039;s cast iron washpot (the sort you did laundry in over an open fire)... it&#039;s been sandblasted several times.</description>

		<description>Don&#039;t see why you can sand blast that because it is iron.  You will need to cure it again by covering with light oil, wiping off and baking in hot oven.</description>

		<description>If it&#039;s iron, you can rub the excess rust off with steel wool, then rub the entire surface with cooking oil and heat the pan to cure it.  Don&#039;t let it rust again.</description>
