There is no reason you could not cook it in a dutch oven and you would not have to change the recipe either
As long as it’s oven proof, you can cook it in anything. I have even made them in pyrex bowls.
Sure, just don’t put the lid on or your gratin will not get the brown ‘crust’ it needs .No other adjustments needed.
