Has anyone ever cooked kettle corn in a dutch oven?

I'm trying to come up with a recipe and instructions. Just wondering if anyone else has had any luck. Thanks!

Just in case....kettle corn is popcorn that is cooked with oil sugar and salt. It's lightly sweetened and lightly salted and hugely delicious.

Can I use plastic bag crock pot liners in my dutch oven?

I am taking a bunch of Scouts camping and we have used the aluminum dutch oven liners in the past (love them), but those are sort of bulky and I wondered if the plastic bag crock pot liners would do the same job with less packing space. My worry is that they will melt or are pierced easily when trying to serve.
